IGE was born in the university setting by professors with an eye on global education. As such, academic quality is constantly monitored by IGE faculty in order to ensure excellence in the classroom. Classes are taught by recognized experts in their fields and all credits are entirely transferable to your home university.

Our Mission
IGE exists to organize international programs that facilitate opportunities for students to develop a deeper appreciation of other cultures, to critically examine the world around them, and become more knowledgeable and responsible global citizens.
We believe that students are most profoundly impacted by interaction with host nationals in activities of equal status. We seek to place students in and encourage them to place themselves in situations of intercultural interaction whenever possible. We believe that academic learning most effectively assists in the broadening of student perspectives and critical inquiry when it is sufficiently complex, participative and linked to their experience. We believe that students are able to internalize new learning when they are given the opportunity to reflect upon that learning both individually and in community.
How Will We Acheive This
IGE will provide opportunities to engage the local culture through the housing placement, coursework, travel study, service projects, internships and extra-curricular activities.
IGE will provide rigorous academic experiences that encourage students to critically examine their established points of view.
IGE will provide travel study opportunities with a purpose, structured to maximize academic learning and cultural engagement.
IGE will provide structured space for students to reflect on their learning, debate and process new ideas and explore and commit to new actions. (These structured spaces will occur at the beginning of the experience with a thorough orientation and intercultural training, during the academic semester, during the travel experiences and at the conclusion of the semester with a time of preparation for return to their home culture.)
